Along with bunnies, chicks, decorated eggs and candy, lilies are a big part of Easter celebrations. It's known for its
huge trumpet-shaped flowers and it's powerful fragrance, which is famous for causing a stuffy nose.
This lily that the little girl is smelling is almost as tall as she is...she may need to break out the Kleenex and the Zyrtec! Tuesday, March 26, 2013

Easter Egg Hunt in Arizona
We do Easter egg hunts a bit
differently here in South Central Arizona. We do dye hard-boiled
eggs, which promptly go in to the refrigerator. Theses eggs are for
eating not hiding. Temperature can get up to the mid 80s around
Easter time. If the Easter Bunny hides the hard boiled eggs and any
of those eggs do not get found, long about the end of the week you
will know it...the whole back yard will smell like a Science project
gone wrong. Instead the Easter Bunny hides plastic eggs with
surprises inside...candy and money. The Easter Bunny messed up big
time one year. In a effort to be more health conscience he filled the
plastic eggs with stickers...that was a Easter Egg Hunt disaster!
Since then the Easter Bunny has redeemed his self with the “good”
kind of candy and dollar bills.
So what do we do with the dyed hard
boiled eggs... we eat them, deviled eggs, egg salad, hard-boiled egg
with a bit of salt and pepper

In your Easter Bonnet...
Spring has sprung, the weather is warmer, flowers are in bloom and the Easter Bunny is on his way. It is time to celebrate with a new hat. Not one of those silly "Fascinators" but a real old fashion Easter Bonnet, with all the frills upon it...
then when you get to the Easter Egg Hunt all you have to do is take the hat off, turn it over and go off looking for the hidden eggs.

Valentines, Tags and Sisters
We still have a few days of February left so I'm sure it's legal for me to post Valentines. They are from my sisters. Ever year we make and exchange Valentine cards.
This card was created by my Flagstaff Sister...I like the combination of the red and pink flourishes, blue background and yellow ribbon.
This fun Valentine was designed by my Tucson Sister...a vintage BINGO card with red felt hearts. Notice the music background stamp.
The three of us have different styles so it's always fun to see what kind of Valentines they create.
I was so busy this year I didn't get a card made, but I did make Valentines tags and sign them on the back with "Happy Valentines Day" and sent them out. That counts...doesn't it?

That's what it's all about...
Valentines Day is all about glittered hearts, bouquets flowers and white dove. Exchanging Valentine cards with friends and love ones and that very special someone. Getting all dressed up for a night out with a romantic dinner and some dancing. A gift of jewelry is always nice a nice touch
Oh yes...and chocolate, lots of chocolate!

Dancing through the Daises
This dainty little girl is dancing through a back ground of pink daises, blinged with Fruit Punch and Lime Green Stickles.
She is all dressed up in a blue frilly dress, that has been outlined with a glitter pen and Waterfall and Star Dust Stickles. She is carrying three gold hearts in her skirt. Handing from her hand are two red heart rhinestones. The edges of the tag are inked with Spun Sugar Distress Ink
