Map, Key and Rhinestones

The second pages I kept a bit simpler...
The pages are covered with patterned paper from the Kaisercraft "Lush" line with a border and a line of black rhinestones layered vertically along the edge of one side.
I used a map, from the 7 Gypsies Ephemera pack...trimmed with a bit of musical note rub-ons and a key.

My DH asked me if there was a meaning behind the map, key and musical notes on the pages..."No, it's just cool stuff." I guess you have to love playing with paper to "get it".

Wish

Now we come to the sun room...or maybe the conservatory part of the Kaisercraft Beyond the Page house.
With fancy lattic work, scrolls and layered flowers...
and one more bird cage.
Follow me and we will take a look at the "back porch"...

"Remembering"

Welcome to the "open house"...
These first pages of the Kaisercraft Beyond the Page house are designed with more of the bird cage and chandelier patterned paper...
and a blue patterned paper with white poka-dots.
The tower window is trimmed with black braid and silver gray lace.

Paper, Ribbon and Bling...

The finished house...and all without a contractors license!
Kaisercraft patterned paper is double sided...this black harlequin pattern that I used on the roof of the house is the reverse of the paper with the large birdcages.
Ribbon and lace...in brown, black, and turquoise, are tied to the book rings.
The bling are black Bazzill Basic adhesive jewels...and a few rub-ons from the Scrapbook Barn embellishment drawer.
Black braid was used to frame the windows, while blue patterned paper inside the windows has both birdcages and chandeliers.

Want to see the inside of the house?

Come on in...

Decisions

We got the official email from Sheri our fearless Mystic Paper Design Team captain. Our March project sacks are ready at Mystic. march?...March?....MARCH already!?!?

I picked up my kit yesterday...Lindsey was there getting hers too.

My sack had one of the new Paper Loft patterned paper lines. If you haven't seen the wonderful display Jennifer set-up of these papers, just as you walk in the front door at Mystic, you'll have to stop by and take a look. The line I got for my project is called "Grandmas House". Great colors and even better it's two sided. There was also gorgeous aqua ribbon and a token...

The assignment was two 12x12 layouts-or-one 12x12 layout and one card-or-one project of your choice.
Decisions...decisions!

Make today worth remembering...

The first pages of the book have pockets. The left pocket was made from
AMX-CC offer. The opening is slanted. I sanded off the lettering and applied turquoise ink to distress (and of course some Ranger distress ink pads), a stamp in black ink and a rub on. The tag in side the pocket has a turquoise loop that I found bouncing around the dryer, not sure what it came off of.
The little black safety pin was connected to the small black tag between the the cover and the acrylic. I applied another black rub on to the acrylic page.
The "Today" page is one of the junk mail envelopes with large velum windows, distressed, stamped and rubbed on. Basic Gray patterned paper lines the envelope.
The back of the tag is a line from the Music Man..."You pile up enough tomorrows, and you'll find you are left with nothing but a lot of empty yesterdays. I don't know about you, but I'd like to make today worth remembering".
